Salesforce Classic was the original interface for the Salesforce CRM platform. In 2016, Salesforce introduced Salesforce Lightning, a new and enhanced interface with added features for improved user experience. While Salesforce Classic is still in use, it is gradually being phased out and is no longer supported.

Salesforce Lightning is the future, as Salesforce continues to develop and improve this interface. It offers several advantages, including a more modern and user-friendly interface, faster development times, and the ability to fully customize the platform to meet specific business needs.

Reasons for Migrating to Lightning
